The Modern Painter Original Hand-Printed Cyanotype
This cyanotype has been developed and hand-printed from a digital photograph. The work depicts a carving on the grave of the English polymath John Ruskin. It is situated in the churchyard of St Andrew's in Coniston, Cumbria. The carving is said to represent Ruskin's book Modern Painters.
The cyanotype was printed on 300gsm acid free watercolour paper. The size is A4 (29.7 cm height x 21 cm width). It would look great in an a3 frame with an a4 mount.
To produce cyanotypes I have to paint each piece of paper by hand. This (and other variables in the process) means that each cyanotype has slight variations in shade, borders etc…, so the cyanotype you receive may be slightly different than the one shown in the images.
The print comes with a backboard to protect it and is sealed in a fully recyclable plastic-free protective bag.
Please note the price does not include a mount or frame. Props are for illustrative purposes only.
